Hi, I’m Sonia.
Seeking support is a courageous step & you don’t have to navigate things alone…
I offer relational, embodied Gestalt psychotherapy for adults. In person in West Toronto and online.
My Approach
Gestalt Therapy
Gestalt therapy is a holistic, experiential approach that invites us into deeper awareness of the present moment: noticing our emotions, body sensations, thoughts, relationships, and environment. Rather than focusing only on analyzing the past and pushing into the future, we work from the body up, attending to our felt sense and what's happening in the here and now. As familiar patterns and the meanings we've made from our lived experiences become clearer, new possibilities for choice and connection open up. At its core, Gestalt supports us in coming home to ourselves: to become more alive, more whole, more present.
How I Can Support
Individual Therapy for Adults
Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, or a life transition, individual sessions offer a steady, attuned space to explore what's here. We work at the pace of trust and your pace, with care, curiosity, and attention to both mind and body.
Support for Frontline Workers
With over 10 years in community mental health and addictions, I understand the weight of frontline work. I offer a space to process vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout, and to reconnect with your body, your boundaries, and what sustains you in caring for others.
Support for Gestalt Students
As a graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Toronto, I know how meaningful and stretching the training can be. I offer personal therapy and mentorship for GIT students as you integrate theory, experiential learning, and your own process.

A Bit About Me…
I'm Sonia (she/her), a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) based in West Toronto. I grew up in and have always been drawn to spaces where community and belonging for all were deeply valued. This shapes both who I am and how I practice. After more than 10 years in community mental health and addictions, I found a home in relational, embodied Gestalt therapy and trained at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto. I'm continuing to expand my training in Somatic Experiencing®, currently at the intermediate level.
I've also spent time in the client's chair, both during my training and through difficult seasons of my own life. Therapy helped me find the strength I always knew I had, a new appreciation for the intelligence of my emotions, and the ability to support myself or reach out for support when I need it. Seeing what became possible within me is what drew me to this work, and it grounds my belief in the power of an attuned therapeutic relationship and my commitment to an anti-oppressive, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed practice.

I welcome you to reach out, and we'll start with a free (15-20 minute) call. It's a chance for you to share what's drawing you toward therapy in this moment and what brought you to my page, and for both of us to get a sense of whether we're a good fit.

Therapy lasts as long as it's useful to you, and it doesn't have to be forever. Some people come for a few sessions to work through something specific. Others stay longer to go deeper. I recommend giving it a few sessions before you decide, because it can take a little time to settle in. As we go, trust yourself. You'll often sense when something is working and when it isn't, and we can talk openly about either.
